Applicants aged 13 to 59 will only have to pay RM200 instead of RM300 for a five-year period of validity, the department corporate communications division said in a statement yesterday.
Applicants aged 60 and above and 12 and below as well as Haj pilgrims will only have to pay RM100 while it remains free for people with disabilities, it added.The statement said that the department was abolishing the applications for passports of two-year validity, obtained at a cost of RM100, with immediate effect. – Bernama, January 16, 2015.
